- Plan ahead of your move and book removalist service two to four weeks before.
- While relocating large appliances always check user manuals for any special instructions for shifting them.
- Don't ever throw your children's favorite things while relocating even if you think they are not needed. Kids sometimes have a hard time dealing with the change of the move itself.
- Pack all the essential items in a separate box with proper labeling so that they can be easily accessed whenever needed.

Packing tips
- Don't mix items of different rooms while packing. Always use separate well labeled boxes.
- Use wardrobe boxes to make closets easier to pack. Clothes in drawers can be placed in suitcases.
- Books need to be stored in small boxes as larger ones get very heavy.
- Always stack dishes upwards with proper padding while packing.
- Important documents including children's health records, passports, insurance information, and albums etc should be kept nearby.
- The boxes should be strong enough to hold the packed load.
- Tape boxes using packing tape.
- Clearly label all the boxes.
- Use bubble wrap wherever necessary for more safety of your possessions.
- Electronic items should be carefully packed.
- Items that are not used on regular basis can be packed ahead of time.
- Take help of the moving company for custom-design boxes.
